“Pataun”… The bunch of grapes on the pergola
“Pataun”. “Puntaun”. „Pergel“. In South Tyrol, especially in Meran/Merano and its environs, all these terms mean the bunch of grapes on the pergola. Moreover they lend their names to our new Pataunerhof in Tirolo. But this is not by accident – finally the newly built farmhouse is situated in the middle of orchards as well as vineyards. Natural production locations for our own wine which is mainly produced by Vernatsch and some Lagrein grapes.

Maria, Martin and little Anna
Maria and Martin got to know each other about five years ago. At the time, Maria was still an independent village host on an alpine hut in the Sarn Valley. Martin and his family managed the well-known beer garden in Tirolo. However, they both always had one thing in common: the love for nature and the passion of being a host. When our little Anna completed our family, we decided that our future was a joined future – this made us think of our Pataunerhof, of farm holidays.
